Walkathon
The FOURTEENTH Annual Lily B. Clayton Walkathon
Friday, October 14, 2022
The Walkathon is Lily B.’s BIG FALL FUNDRAISER where students ask neighbors, relatives, and friends for donations to our school. The fundraiser runs from Monday, September 19th through Friday, September 30th. On October 14th, approximately 500 students will walk, sing and show great school spirit on a 1-1/2 mile walk through Berkeley. The event will begin and end at Lily B. Clayton Elementary School. The Walkathon will be led by members of the Fort Worth Police Department and the Paschal High School Band.
Our goal each year is to raise enough money to fund many of the things that make Lily B. great (art and music programs, new technology, academic materials, and more). This year we are also focusing on a landscaping project described in more detail below. Students raised over $60,000 in donations in 2021!
Check out the Walkathon FAQ for more information or contact Walkathon chair Hillary LaRue at walkathon@lilybclayton.org.
Donations may be made by typing your student's first name (be sure to use their first name used at school registration). From there, you can copy and paste the link to share. Please be sure that donations for your student are submitted via their link or they will not get credit for the donation.

Walkathon Fundraising
This year we are excited to announce that our PTA will be kicking off a landscaping project that will not only enhance the beauty of our 100-year-old school, but also positively impact our current and future students. Our focus will be framing Lily B.’s main entry and creating a welcoming entrance for our students, staff and families. We plan to address current landscaping, including clean up and replacement, the addition of new plant material to help address soil run-off from the shaded areas, and creation of an on-going maintenance plan for our campus. We hope that this project is the first step in a comprehensive plan for our school grounds. We encourage our Walkathon participants to highlight the goals of this project in their fundraising efforts by sharing this plan with potential donors.
