Welcome Back Bees!
The FWISD board voted last week to extend virtual learning until October 19 with in-person instruction starting October 5 for various student groups. Below is the phase-in schedule for families who prefer in-person instruction.
Asynchronous Instruction District Wide (Teacher Room Prep)
PK, Kindergarten and 1st grade students will need to pick up their lanyard that will be in buckets in the back of the school. Your teachers will provide more information on this.
Pre-Kindergarten, KIndergarten and 1st grade students can return to campus for in-person instruction
Student Holiday (Teacher Flex Day)
2nd and 3rd grade students can return to campus for in-person instruction
4th and 5th grade students can return to campus for in-person instruction
Daily schedules will change for virtual learners once in-person instruction begins. There will only be slight changes in the virtual schedule until your child's grade level begins in-person instruction. Then the virtual learning schedule will mirror the in-person learning schedule. We have done a great deal of planning and implemented new procedures to ensure the safety and health of our students and staff. Many of these new procedures were discussed in the Tuesday Morning Coffee Zoom meeting. The zoom meeting was recorded can be accessed here. The passcode is e40vu7E! There are also very specific procedures listed on the FWISD Lily B Clayton webpage under Quick Links and the In-Person Transition Plan.

The 12th annual Lily B. Clayton Walkathon is here!
Drive Through Kick Off October 19 – Sign Up to Volunteer Below
Walkathon Weekend is November 6-8
The Walkathon is Lily B.’s fall fundraiser, where students ask neighbors, relatives, and friends for donations to the school. Each year, our goal is to raise enough money to fund many of the things that make Lily B. great (art & music programs, new technology, academic materials, and more). Last year, the students raised over $57,000 in donations!
We are excited to streamline our annual Walkathon Fundraiser by going online this year. Instead of collecting cash and checks, students will use an app for online pledges and gifts.
On October 19th from 4-6 pm, join us for our Kick Off Drive Through!
Pick up students’ walkathon T-shirt, packet, and sacks.
Enjoy the Paschal Band and Pom Squad and celebrate our sweet Lily B.
Then, mark your calendar for November 6-8 to walk with your family in your neighborhood to celebrate your hard work!
Don't forget to post your walk online!
The most creative photo and video will win a special prize!
Volunteers!! We need 10 volunteers to help make the Kick Off Drive Through a success, please consider joining us and be part of the fun! Please use the Signup Genius below.
FWISD Nutrition Services for Virtual Learners
FWISD's Twice weekly free breakfast and lunch Meals-to-Go services for children under 18 will continue for the first four weeks of online learning. That means that any person under the age of 18 can pick up Meals-to-Go at any school, not just the school they attend. During the next four weeks of virtual instruction, families with multiple children in multiple schools may get all their meals at just one location. Families will also receive meals for six days- including Saturday. Twice weekly, on Mondays and Thursdays, students and parents may pick up a combination of hot and cold breakfast and lunch meals from 7am to 11am at any Fort Worth ISD school. Meals for Monday- Wednesday will be distributed on Mondays and meals for Thursday- Saturday will be distributed on Thursdays.
Food Nutrition Services for In Person Learners
Students in K-5th will be utilizing the cafeteria for lunch. Only one grade level at a time in the cafeteria to ensure social distancing during lunch. Only half of the cafeteria will be utilized at one time to make sure tables are properly sanitized before another grade level sits down to eat. Also, the cafeteria will not be selling extra items such as chips and ice cream. There will be no visitors during lunch until further notice.
