Family Spirit Night FAQ

What is Family Spirit Night?

Family Spirit Night is a fun, family-friendly event intended to bring together our school community in a festive atmosphere to celebrate our Walkathon success! Family Spirit Night is held the evening of Walkathon and features bounce houses, a dunk tank, sweet treats, balloon artists, face painting, and MORE! The event is highly anticipated by students each year.

Where is Family Spirit Night held?

Family Spirit Night  is hosted on the playgrounds and baseball field as well as the courtyards above those areas. You can access the event on the front side of the school by walking along the sidewalk that leads to the playground stairs. Check-in is set up on this sidewalk.

How much does it cost to attend Family Spirit Night?

Family Spirit Night is FREE for all Lily B. students and their family members. Our community's support for our PTA through Walkathon, Auction, and other fundraisers like Hungry Hive events allows us to make all PTA-sponsored student events available at no charge.

Will I have to pay for anything once I arrive at Family Spirit Night?

All activities at Family Spirit Night are FREE. Pizza, sweet treats, and water are available for free. In addition, we may have food trucks available for attendees to purchase additional food items.

Who can attend Family Spirit Night?

Family Spirit Night is for current Lily B. students and their families only. For everyone's safety, and in order to keep Family Spirit Night as a free event, attendance is limited to current students and their families, staff members, and volunteers. A great way for any former Lily Bees to stay involved with the event once their families have moved on from Lily B. is to volunteer!

Can I drop my children off at Family Spirit Night and leave?

No. Family Spirit Night is not an event where students should be left unsupervised. Volunteers and members of the Lily B. staff will be on hand helping with check-in, volunteering in the dunk tank, etc., but they are not there to watch your children. Students who arrive without their parent/guardian will not be allowed into the event.

Please note that, as always, all FWISD Student Code of Conduct rules apply when on campus.

What can I bring to Family Spirit Night?

Water bottles for your kids are always a good idea, but please do NOT bring a cooler. You will be asked to return it your vehicle.

You are welcome to bring a chair so that you can sit and enjoy the event while your children play.

What do I wear to Family Spirit Night?

Dress comfortably and weather appropriately, as the event takes place outside (except in the event of very inclement weather). Kids should be dressed to run around and play. Lily B. students will have worn their Walkathon shirts that morning, but we suggest changing into something more unique so that it will be easier to keep track of your kid among the crowd.

What if I get separated from my child during Family Spirit Night?

There will be off-duty police officers on-site to ensure the safety of all Family Spirit Night attendees. However, we recommend setting a meeting place with your child in advance as a place to meet if/when you get separated.
