Anna Adams

Education: I graduated and received my Bachelors Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies EC - 6 with a minor in ESL at Texas Woman’s University in Denton, TX.Experience: I completed my student teaching and worked as a second grade teacher at sweet Lily B. from January - June 2016. I then worked as a second grade teacher at Uplift Summit International Preparatory in Arlington for the last two years where I became certified in International Baccalaureate concepts and PBIS.

Bio: I was born and raised in Texas and have been a proud resident of Fort Worth for almost ten years. I have been married to the love of my life and best friend for five years and we have two fur babies Bowie and Jolene (Australian Shepards). My husband and I reside in the Fairmount neighborhood and I am so happy to be teaching in the community I live in.

Hobbies: I love to travel and experience new things near and far! I love exploring the state of Texas and have a tradition of visiting the Hill Country every summer and Big Bend every fall. My husband and I enjoy spending time with our friends but also enjoy lounging at home to a good Netflix series. Having fun and making memories is my hobby!

Rainey Karlson

Education: University of North Texas

Experience: I started teaching way back in 1999 for Grapevine-Colleyville ISD. In my sixteen years there I taught kindergarten, second and third grade. I have been with Fort Worth ISD, at Lily B. Clayton, since 2017.

Bio: I am a native Texan and have lived around the Metroplex area all my life, but graduated from Martin High School in Arlington.

I absolutely love being a teacher and couldn’t imagine doing anything else. Working with students and being able to watch their learning evolve is an amazing thing to witness, and I feel blessed to be able to be there in those everyday moments.

Hobbies: When I’m not at school I love visiting the zoo, museums, and going to outdoor festivals. I also enjoy going out and discovering new things!

Isabel Lopez

Education: I earned a Bachelor’s degree from California State University, Northridge in Public Health.

Experience: I spent 7 great years working as a bilingual teacher for Weatherford ISD. 4 years were in 1st grade and 3 years in 3rd grade. During summer school I would get an opportunity to teach various primary grade levels!

Bio: I moved to Texas almost 10 years ago from Los Angeles, CA when my husband was done serving in the U.S. Navy. He is originally from Houston, but told me Fort Worth was the best city in Texas. He was so RIGHT! After working for the Fort Worth Public Library as a Librarian Assistant (2 years), I obtained my certification and began this wonderful teaching career.

If I’m not preparing lesson plans usually I’m trying to learn new things (computer programs, cooking, art, and researching). My son, Ethan is also attending Lily B. where he is beginning 5th grade. He enjoys reading and I hope I have taught him to be a life long learner.
