We've had a lot going on in our world lately! Between the recent winter storms, power and water outages, and the pandemic, it's normal for your child to be feeling overwhelmed or stressed. Here are some simple ways to help them calm down or de-stress:
Go outside and run or kick a ball around.
Listen to music or sing a song. Close your eyes and think of a calm place.
Draw a picture.
Read a book.
Write a letter or story.
Talk to someone.
Ask for a hug.
The FWISD Family Resources Centers can connect you with counseling or mental health resources for your child. If you're interested, contact me for more information.
