What is Terrific Tuesday?
Terrific Tuesday "TT" began 21 years ago (originally as Marvelous Monday, but changed due to Memorial Day) as the brainchild of Lily B. parents. Ordinary people with no formal teaching experience lead workshops for cultural, arts, and enrichment activities. You don't need to be an expert or a professional. The idea is to expose the students to skills, hobbies, music, food, etc., that they might not otherwise have the opportunity to enjoy. These workshops are meant to be fun, informal ways to share your talents and interests.
This year we need 1 parent to move through the periods with their child's class. We also need parent volunteers to lead classes. On that day, we will need you from 8:30 to 2:00 and we will provide lunch. You can also sign up for the morning or afternoon shift.
MM ScheduleThe students will rotate through 5 classes during the day. The students will move together as a class through 5 classes in the following areas: sport, cultural, learning, arts & crafts, and fun. Students in 4th and 5th grade will have 2 choice classes during the day.
8:00-8:30: Homeroom
8:35-9:25: Period 1
9:30-10:20: Period 2
10:25-11:15: Period 3
11:15-12:10: Lunch: Lunch is provided to volunteers and all students bring a sack lunch and eat outside on the grounds.
12:15-1:05: Period 4
1:10-2:00: Period 5
2:05-2:55: Homeroom and prepare for dismissal
