Amber Bailey - ArtExperience: Ms. Bailey was the curator of exhibitions and collection at Abilene's respected Grace Museum until moving to Fort Worth about a decade ago. She taught at Eastern Hills High School before coming to Lily B.
Education: Museum degree from Abilene Christian University
Bio: Lily B.'s art teacher is as cheerful in her paintings as she is in her everyday manner. Her classroom glows with a happy, sunshiny vibe. Two small canvases on the wall remind visitors to "smile often" and "love one another". And Ms. Bailey does smile often, even as she takes on bigger projects and loftier goals, in hopes of turning Lily B.'s art program into a model for elementary schools throughout the district.

Education: Texas A&M University
Bio: For 15 years, Mr. Dague has ruled the gym at Lily B., turning couch potatoes into soccer enthusiasts, jump ropers and Newcomb players. His dogged promotion of children's fitness has put thousands of elementary school children on the road to a healthier lifestyle.
He organizes the spring Field Day ritual, which presents a trophy for best class sportsmanship. In 2009, he led the pack at the first ever Lily B. fundraiser walkathon through the Berkeley neighborhood. He also runs the chess club and the safety patrol.

Layne Trent - Music
Education: I have a double undergraduate degree from the University of Mobile: Music Education and Piano Performance. I also have a Master's of Education degree from Texas Wesleyan University. I am certified both in Music and Elementary Education. Personal: I spend my "off time" at the Texas Girls' Choir as I am the Assistant Director and the Accompanist. I have traveled to over 40 countries of the world, and feel very privileged to have performed on every continent except Antartica (maybe someday!). I love to read - (mostly fiction), but lately I've been trying my hand at writing children's books. I believe "to whom much is given, much is required". I am an extremely proud adopted kid, so obviously, I know I have been given so very much in my life. Hopefully, I can give back just a little to the children I come in contact with everyday at the very special place called Lily B. Clayton.
