First Grade

Jennifer Dahmer

Education: She comes to us from Georgia with 18 years teaching experience.  The 2011-12 school year will be her 2nd year at Lily B.
 
Experience: Jennifer is a University of Texas (Bachelor’s Degree) and Piedmont College (Master’s Degree) graduate.
 
 

Kristen Taylor (formerly Dresbach)

Education:  University California State San Marcos
 
Experience:  This will be my 6th year teaching 1st grade at Lily B. Clayton.
 
Bio:  I am originally from San Diego, California and moved to Fort Worth 7 years ago.  My daughter Paris is 7 years old and will be in 2nd grade this school year.  My hobbies include swimming, boogie boarding, snowboarding, shopping, traveling, playing Texas Hold’em and Guitar Hero.

First grade is a giant step into the world of learning. Together with your help and assistance we can build a foundation of learning and success.

Lupita Olazaba

Lupita Olazaba
Experience:  6 years teaching experience from Morningside ES.  The 2011-12 school year will be my 2nd year at Lily B.

Education:  Graduate of the University of Texas in Arlington, currently working on a Master's degree from Concordia University.
 
Bio:  I have lived in Fort Worth all my life and was a former FWISD student myself.  I went to Daggett Elementary, McLean Middle school and then graduated from Paschal High School.  So it is very nice to look back and thank many of my teachers from this District who made a difference in my life.  I am also thankful to be teaching in the Paschal pyramid where I went to school.  I have been teaching first grade for seven years and enjoy the age group I teach.

Besides loving my job, I enjoy collecting children’s literature, jogging, gardening, and decorating our home. I play co-ed softball every year with friends and family.  I am an only child, married and have 3 dogs.  I enjoy spending time with close friends and family.
 
 

Sara Filarowicz

Education: My sister, my husband, and I are all Lily B alumni!  I moved to Fort Worth in the middle of my 5th grade year and finished my elementary school career at Lily B.  I went on to McLean and Paschal and graduated from TCU with a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education.

Certifications: Pre-K - 4th grade; ESL; Obtaining GT certification this summer

Experience: I began teaching at Westcliff Elementary and taught there for 6 years.  I taught Pre-K for 3 years and have taught Kindergarten for the last 3 years.  I LOVE Kindergarten!  It is such a privilege to be a part of the learning and discovery of young children.  A child's Kindergarten year is so formative and I am honored to be a part of it!

Bio:  My husband John and I live in Ryan Place and he owns a landscaping company.  We have two Boston Terriers: Max and Roxy. Both sets of our parents live in Berkeley, where John and I grew up.  John graduated from Texas A&M so we bleed purple and maroon at our house! We love going to Horned Frog and Aggie football and baseball games.
