Library Volunteers Wanted

Library volunteers are needed who can commit to a particular class each week throughout the year.

“Job sharing” is an option, too.

Volunteers help students find books, check out books, and check them in. They also help with shelving books.

The library is a fun place to become involved with your child’s class.

  • Calling All Sweet Lily Bees
Looking for a way to help out those affected by Hurricane Harvey?

We have decided as a school to collect donations for another elementary school in Katy, Texas. Our principal, Dr. Hughes, reached out to her long time friend, Dr. Lorena Zertuche, who is the principal of Bear Creek Elementary School. Dr. Hughes learned that the school and community suffered significant flooding. We are collecting gift cards to assist the staff, faculty, families, and children of the school. If you would like to send donations we are asking specifically for gift cards (Wal-Mart, Target, grocery, etc). Any amount is appreciated! You can drop the gift cards at the front office or with your child’s teacher.

  • A Message from our New Assistant Principal, Roberto Amaya
I am excited to join the staff at Lily B. Clayton as the new Assistant Principal. I started teaching in FWISD and taught second grade and third grade at Manuel Jara Elementary. After four years of teaching, I was recruited by the principal to become a counselor. I have served as the counselor at Cesar Chavez for the last seven years. I look forward to meeting each of you.
