Auction 2017 | Krewe

Each year the Lily B. Clayton PTA holds an auction to benefit the children at the school. The auction date and location for the upcoming year is BRIK Venue on Saturday, April 22, 2017. We depend on the kindness of businesses like yours to help bring new materials, training and programs to our historic neighborhood school. Donations of tangible items, gift cards, excursions, experiences or anything else you can think of will go a long way to help us reach our fundraising goal of over $100,000. Money raised in the past has been divided accordingly: 30% toward academic materials and technology upgrades, 30% toward teacher training and supplies, 25% toward school improvements and 15% toward special programs & events for the students.

Your donation is tax deductible, and in appreciation for your generosity, your business will be highlighted in our auction catalog and auction software. If your donation exceeds a $99 value and is received by March 24, 2017, your business will also be highlighted in a slideshow that plays throughout the evening of the event. For your reference, our 501(c) (3) tax ID is 75-2536056.

This kind of donation strengthens our community and provides excellent exposure for your business in the community.

Thank you for being a part of this exciting event!

  • STAAR test will be given to our 4th and 5th grade students

    Lily B. Clayton Parents/Guardians,

The State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness test also referred to as the STAAR test will be given to our  4th and 5th grade students on Tuesday, and Wednesday, March 28th and 29th. In an effort to maintain test security on the day of the STAAR test, parents of students in grades PK-5th are not allowed to join their children for lunch in the cafeteria nor be on the campus during testing on those two days. We encourage parent support and appreciate parents that take the time to eat with their children and volunteer during their very busy schedules; however, some students will not be finished testing by lunchtime and we need to keep a secure testing environment in place. The students and teachers have been working hard in all content areas and now is the time for our students to show what they have learned.

Once again, we are asking that all parents refrain from eating lunch with their children and volunteering on Tuesday and Wednesday of next week. Thank you for your understanding and support.

Assistant Principal, Lily B. Clayton ES

  • Spring Picnic Lunch for LBC Teachers & Staff Sponsored by Kindergarten and Pre-K Parents
Once a month, volunteers provide lunch for Lily B. Clayton staff to show how much we appreciate all their hard work.  On Friday, March 31st, PreK and Kindergarten will sponsor a spring picnic themed lunch.  Parents are invited to sign up for a dish or item and bring it to the Teacher’s Lounge by 10:00AM on the 31st (homemade and store bought are welcome!).  To volunteer, please sign up below.  Be sure and note the number of servings indicated… we don’t want to run out of food for our hard working teachers and staff.

Alternatively, if it’s more convenient to chip in $s towards the purchase of one of the items below, please place your contribution in the PTA box with my name on it (checks should be payable to me, as I acquire the food that is needed).
