  • McLean 6th Grade Open House for all 5th Graders
    Open House at McLean 6th for all 5th graders will be held on Tuesday, March 17, from 5:30-6:30. Everyone will meet in the auditorium with Mrs. Armstrong, then will be allowed to take a self-guided tour around the building.

  • Fort Worth family warns others about Sudden Cardiac Arrest
    Lily B. is proud to share some information about a news story that included board member Adrienne Grant, her daughter Grayson, and Amy Brown. Below is some information Adrienne shared about the news story and the message they are spreading about Sudden Cardiac Arrest. This story ran locally on Fox 4 on Valentine’s day and was then picked up by Fox News NYC.

  • Southern Cooking Lunch for LBC Teachers & Staff, Friday, February 27th
    Sponsored by the 1st Grade Parents

    Once a month, volunteers provide lunch for Lily B. Clayton staff members to show how much we appreciate all their hard work. Parents are invited to sign up for a dish or item and bring it to the Teacher’s Lounge by 10:00AM that day. To volunteer, please do one of the following:

  • Child Abuse Presentation & Training April 20 at TCU
    The Alliance for Children has partnered with a few other local organizations committed to ending child abuse. The first step, they say, is being able to identify abuse and to that end, they are offering an informational workshop on that subject. Please see the attached document for details AND you could win $500 for your PTA just for attending.

    Considering the Lily B. Clayton PTA Board for next year? Please complete the form attached (job descriptions on the back of this form) and return to your child’s teacher or the front office.     Lily B. Clayton PTA is thrilled to announce that Lily B’s very own Bertha Torres (PreK teacher) will continue teaching Spanish classes this spring.   • Cans of Love food drive February 9-20
    The PTA invites you to participate in the Cans of Love food drive benefitting the Tarrant Area Food Bank. Please bring non-perishable canned or boxed food items to donate from February 9-20. Let's see how much food we can collect to share with our neighbors in need! The class with the most donated food items will receive a popsicle party.

  • Career Day speakers needed for 3rd-5th grade classrooms
    Career Day speakers needed for 3rd-5th grade classrooms on Wednesday, February 25th from 8:30-2 

    Please volunteer to share your career or hobby with our students. Your willingness to discuss your work will help our children think about their own futures. If you can participate in this fun day for an hour or for the whole day, complete this form and return it to your child’s teacher or email to the address listed below.

  • Calling all book fair volunteers!
    Next week, Jan. 20-22, there will be no regular library classes because of book fair, which will run Tuesday-Thursday—just three days.

    If you’d like to help, please sign here.

    Each class will come at the assigned time on Tuesday. On Wednesday and Thursday, only those students who bring money will be sent to the fair.
